It took a lot of PVA glue and hell of a lot of glitter but in the end the Virgin shots came out great. Luke Kirwan took some lovely shots of out glitter city scape for the in-flight Virgin Atlantic magazine, winging its way to your seat pocket the next time you fly Virgin.
- we where given an open breif so our initial idea was to create the view from an areoplane window
- using glitter to recreate the sparkeling lights of a city
- I love these Anish Kapoor Sulptures covered in powder
- I also wanted to have the buildings emerginf from the clouds
- more views from the areoplane window…
- Testing out our powder paint and glitter colours
- testing gliter shapes
- creating the wooden structure of the city scape
- and deciding on the product placement within the shot
- we chose this light silvery blue in a thin glitter texture
- everything had to be covered in two coats of pva and glitter
- pictures on Lukes monitor
- the finished cover
