Kelloggs Special K Dress for Tess Daly
September 2, 2015
We where asked to design and make a dress for Tess Daly, the new face of Special K. Designing and making the dress from the ingredients of Tess’s Special K blend was quite a challenge… but after a bit of development heres the recipe:
Recipe makes 1 x Kelloggs Special K Dress in a perfect size 10
Ingredients:
4000 stalks of braided wheat which form shoulder pads, bust and corset
500 whole almonds, individually drilled and hand sewn together
800 flaked almonds, glued together and shaped to form the bodice
50 vanilla pods and 50 vanilla flowers for decoration
100 apple peels curls, preserved red apple peel and apple slices
450 whole red apples for the fishtail train
Method:
Draw it, Sew it, Stick it, Weave it, Wear it, Eat it!!!
Oasis Pressday A/W15
August 9, 2015
Oasis A/W15 Press Day Showroom was my favourite so far! We designed & produced a nostalgic 70’s “Hometown” with a modern Oasis twist. Taking inspiration from british market towns we developed illuminated street lamp clothes rails for the collection, an autumnal park and a town full of shops and gifting areas such as ‘Hairs & Graces” the Beauty Salon where you could have your nails expertly painted by the illustrated nail, the “Broach & Horse” Pub where there was Prosecco on tap as well as 70’s bar snacks to keep you going, to the “Goody Too Shoes” Engraver where a map of the street where you live was engraved onto a necklace as a keepsake. We also had a red Hillman Imp in the parking area to complete the scene.
